23#17 Hard Work Paid Off BUT Not Enough

In the last two weeks, I had to take a physical examination and move house, which reduced my study time. After returning home, I prepared for an interview with Prof. Liang and learned more details about the application.

I also participated in LCCUP 2023 Spring and ranked in the top 6%, which proved that my coding skills had improved after two months of persistent practice.

However, I did not complete my daily research and study goals because I spent most of the day on urgent tasks and neglected activities like exercise, language study, and sleep. Therefore, my primary goal for the coming weeks is to balance my life and finish my daily tasks before starting work.

Additionally, it is important for me to get adequate sleep (at least 7 hours, ideally 8-9 hours per night), concentrate on all my courses, keep practicing coding, and learn new techniques and algorithms. It is crucial that I complete my daily goals before starting work and reserve 30 to 60 minutes for relaxation after finishing all daily tasks (22:00 PM - 23:00 PM). Finally, I must prepare for my research (5.9).

Therefore, here are the objectives for next week.

  • Habits:
    Morning:
  • Daily English
  • Daily exercise (swim at least twice, get up early and jog, and keep fit)
  • Daily Oral: Practice oral skills for at least one hour every day, especially technical terms. Address this weakness promptly!
  • Daily Paper reading (read at least 1 paper every day carefully and record it in Notes)
    Evening:
  • Daily Coursera: on the one hand, review DL basics; on the other hand, complete an important task every day.
  • Daily Leetcode practice and weekly contest
  • Life:
  • Wake up at 6:00 AM every day
  • Learning:
  • Review English grammar (Book: 101 essays, 英语语法新思维)
  • Review Python
  • Complete all speaking exercises
  • Review fundamental machine learning and deep learning algorithm (In English and Pay Attention to the terms!!)
  • Research:
  • Spend enough time

Update:

I finished the learning task above: Review fundamental machine learning and deep learning algorithm (In English and Pay Attention to the terms!!) by studying the Deep Neural Network on Coursera. Next week I am going to learn another course. Here is the certificate of the Course.
